Melbourne Water, in
partnership with Melbourne Waterwatch and the Amphibian Research Centre, is
sponsoring a community-based frog monitoring program within greater
Melbourne.
Find out frogs' names, see what they look like, listen to their frog calls, learn where and when to see them. Learn to identify a frog species either by seeing or just listening to it!
The aims of the
frog-mapping program are to:
.
• increase community knowledge of frogs found in
Melbourne
.
• disseminate identification skills to on-ground
participants
.
• increase understanding of frog distribution
throughout greater Melbourne
.
• provide an additional Waterwatch activity that is both
educational and enjoyable.
